Sheila's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away." Sheila Ann Norwood was born August 3, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Eddie James, Sr. and Mattie B. Norwood. She was a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church where she accepted Christ at an early age. She was currently a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Strong, Arkansas. Sheila alltended Eugene Field Elementary School and was a graduate of Cleveland High School in 1971. She also attended Forest Park in Missouri and Belleville in Illinois Community Colleges. Sheila lived in Illinois and worked for Children's Home and Aide Society. She moved to Arkansas in 1994 where she worked and retired from the State of Arkansas in 2016. She later moved to Eula, Texas Sheila was called to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 4:40 PM. She was a kind hearted woman who loved her family. She was the strength to all those that cherished her. She loved people and was no stranger to anyone she met. Sheila was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Cornelius "Sonny" Smith. Sheila leaves to cherish her loving memory son, Terence Smith of Euless, Texas; four daughters, Chanita (Daniel) Ward of Euless, Texas, Dionne (Lacy) Miles of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Latrice (Kevin) Henry of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Patrice (Gregory) Johnson of Eldorado, Arkansas; brother, Eddie James (Patricia) Norwood, Jr. of Powder Springs, Georgia; sister, Donna Brown of St. Louis, Missouri; 12 grandchildren, Terrill (Sarah), Tarnell, Crystal, Ka'Ziah, Willie, Kadriana, Tyrell, Kenneth, Andraya, Danielle, Isyss, Iyannah; two great-grandchildren, Marquis and Emberlynn, and a host of other relatives and friends. Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017, 1:00 PM at St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 4916 High St., Fort. Smith, Arkansas 72904.
