Kenneth Alvin Virgil was born June 16, 1965 in Morrilton, Arkansas to Mr. Alvin Smith and Ms. Rutha Mae Virgil.
Kenneth confessed his hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized under the leadership of Pastor Matthew Smith of Greater Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church.
Kenneth was a 1984 graduate of Morrilton High School and shortly after, married Esther Marie Rosbia and to that union two sons were born.
Kenneth later moved to Detroit, Michigan where he met and married Antoinette Marie Bell. They moved and resided in Union Chapel, Arkansas where he rededicated his life to Christ at Greater Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church and served as a deacon in training.
Kenneth worked for the Conway County Road Department up until his health failed. He loved driving the city dump truck as his life long profession.
Kenneth’s Earthly soul transcended to the Heavens on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at his home. His is preceded in death by his Grandfather, Al Smith, Sr.; Grandmother, Irma Lee Patterson; Great-Grandparents, Curtis and Mattie Doss; Eural and Sadie Harris.
Kenneth leaves to cherish his loving memory, wife, Antoinette Bell-Virgil of Springfield, Arkansas; two sons, Kenneth Virgil, Jr and Cameron Virgil of Morrilton, Arkansas; five daughters, Betty Chimera of Erie, Pennsylvania and Melissa Patrick of Darnelle, Arkansas, Marie Ali of Detroit, Michigan, Sheyanne Smith and Lynnzee Smith of Heber Springs, Arkansas; mother, Rutha Mae Virgil (Charles Alford) of Springfield, Arkansas; father, Alvin Smith of Conway, Arkansas; eight brothers, Robert (Gail) Virgil of Conway, Arkansas, Rufus (Gloria) Virgil of Conway, Arkansas, Demetrius (Rochelle) Acker of Kansas City, Missouri, Calvin Canady of Detroit, Michigan, Christopher Wardlow of Conway, Arkansas, Quincy Wardlow of Conway, Arkansas, Terrence Jefferson of Morrilton, Arkansas, Charles Alford, Jr. of Conway, Arkansas; ten sisters, Beverly (Dexter) Williams of Menifee, Arkansas, Sharon (Marvin) Young of Conway, Arkansas, Betty Markeeta Dickerson of Juntion City, Kansas, Rachel Acker of Conway, Arkansas, Yolonda Smith of Conway, Arkansas, Cassandra Johnson of Allen, Texas, Shila Smith of Conway, Arkansas, Shamita Jefferson of Atkins, Arkansas, Sharlene (Frankie) Powell of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Felceia Snow of Little Rock, Arkansas and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Family will receive friends, Friday, May 13, 2016 from 6pm-7pm at Veasley Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held, Saturday, May 14, 2016, 2:30pm at Greater Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 728 Mt. Olive Road, Plumerville, Arkansas.
Final resting place and committal service will be held at Greater Mt. Olive Cemetery, Plumerville, Arkansas.
