In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Colquitt Family. Tyler's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Tyler Colquitt.

Tyler Colquitt, 30, of Maumelle, Arkansas, passed away on March 3, 2026.


Tyler was born on September 26, 1995, in Atlanta, Georgia, and later made his home in Maumelle, Arkansas. He was baptized at Mount Gale Baptist Church in Conway, Arkansas, on Sunday, August 14, 2005, a moment that held great meaning in his life and faith. He was a member of Saint Mark Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas.


Tyler graduated from Pulaski Academy, where he formed many lasting friendships and memories. He had a lifelong love of sports and was known for his dedication, talent, and competitive spirit.


During his time at Pulaski Academy, Tyler excelled in football and became one of the Bruins’ standout athletes. A four-year starter, he led the team in tackles as a freshman with 155 and was named the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s All-Metro Sophomore of the Year in 2011. As a senior, he earned a place on the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette All-Arkansas Preps team while playing linebacker and running back.


Throughout his high school career, Tyler received numerous honors, including 5A All-State recognition, Pulaski Academy Bruins Football MVP, 5A Central All-Conference, and finalist for the Farm Bureau Pulaski Academy 5A Defensive Player of the Year. He helped lead the Bruins to the 5A Central Conference Championship and was also recognized for his athletic contributions in basketball.


During his senior season, Tyler recorded 74 unassisted tackles, 29 assisted tackles, 3 sacks, and 2 interceptions. On offense, he rushed for 374 yards and 7 touchdowns on 38 carries and added 9 receptions for 178 yards and 1 touchdown.

In 2014, Tyler earned a full scholarship to the University of Arkansas an achievement that reflected his hard work, faith, talent, and love for the game.


Beyond his athletic accomplishments, Tyler was known for his big heart, warm smile, and wonderful sense of humor. He loved to laugh and had a way of brightening any room. He treasured spending time with the people he loved most.


Above all else, Tyler cherished being a father. His greatest joy in life was his son, and the love he had for him was undeniable.

Tyler was preceded in death by his father, Eddie Colquitt, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved son, Axel E. Colquitt; his mother, Rhonda M. Colquitt of Maumelle, Arkansas; his sister, Taylor M. Colquitt of Alexander, Arkansas; his brother, Titus E. Colquitt of Maumelle, Arkansas; and many extended family members and friends who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.


Tyler will always be remembered for his kind heart, his laughter, and the love he shared with those around him.


Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026, 10:00am at True Holiness Saints Center, 198 Hwy 286, Conway, Arkansas.


Committal service and final resting place will be held, at Caney Cemetery, Conway, Arkansas.
