Family and friends celebrate the life of Bradley Bernard Gordon, 29, who was born November 28, 1986 in Oxford, Mississippi. Bradley submitted to the Lord’s will and passed away quietly on Monday, March 14, 2016, at the Arkansas Heart Hospital.
Although Bradley, lovingly known as Brad, was very quiet and private, he was loved by all. His shy demeanor captured the hearts of his coworkers and children with whom he worked. His heart matched the size of his statue. Everyone whom Brad came into contact with felt the love he exuberated. He was truly a special gift given to us and will be dearly missed.
Bradley was raised in a loving home, where the foundations of Christianity were taught daily. The seed of Christianity took root on December 3, 2000 when he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. He was baptized at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Steven Arnold.
Bradley graduated from the historical Little Rock Central High School in 2005. He attended the University of Central Arkansas from 2005 until 2009, where he played football as an offensive lineman. He earned many accolades for his athletic abilities, which included 2005 Gulf South Conference Champion, Member of the First Division-One Football Team at UCA History in 2006, Second Team All-Southland Conference Lineman 2007, 2008 Southland Conference Champion, First Team All-Southland Conference Lineman 2008, and Fab 50 Little All-American 2008.
Bradley leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother Shoutell (Richard) Richardson and father Willie (Penny) Richardson his grandmother Earline Richardson, his fiancé Keyanna Horne, nine siblings: Gregory Gordon (Dallas, TX), Ricquel Richardson (Little Rock, AR), Richard Bunting, Shatona Bunting, Chasssidy Carrothers, Clyshadra Buford, Cloretta Pegues, Jermaine Pegues, Javion Pegues and a host of aunts, uncles cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 19, 2016, 11:00am at Second Baptist Church, 1709 John Barrow Rd., Little Rock, Arkansas.
Family will receive friends, Friday, March 18, 2016 from 5p-7p at Second Baptist Church, 1709 John Barrow Rd., Little Rock, Arkansas.
Interment will be at St. John M.B.C. Cemetery, Oxford, Mississippi.
