Wilda “Wendy” Bost, 75, of Van Buren, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 6, 2026.

Wendy was born on November 28, 1950, in Stockton, California.  She later made her home in Arkansas, where she lived a life rooted in faith, service, and love for others.

She earned her master’s degree in social work and devoted many years to serving others in the mental health field before retiring.  Wendy had a God-given gift for mentoring, building meaningful relationships, and drawing people closer to the Lord through her compassion, wisdom, and gentle spirit. She lived out her faith daily, offering encouragement, guidance, and prayer to all who crossed her path.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Alice Hancock of Muldrow, Oklahoma; her brother: Danny Jo Hancock; and her beloved grandson: Patrick Nelson.

Wendy is survived by her sons, Pat (Sharon) Nelson and Jamie (Terra) Bost. Her grandchildren: Nick (Christina), Christopher, Aubree, Hanah, Ian, Isaiah, Daniel, Isaac (Olivia) and grandson-in-love Robert. Eleven (11) great-grandchildren; her brother Charles Paul Hancock, Jr., her sister Judy Foye, and many cherished nieces and nephews.

Wendy will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her servant’s heart, and the way she reflected Christ’s love to everyone she met.  While she will be deeply missed, her family rejoices in the promise that she is now whole, at peace, and rejoicing in Heaven.

A Celebration of life service will be held on Saturday February 14, 2026, 3:00pm at Current Outreach Church 414 South 4th St., Van Buren, Arkansas 72956.
