Walter’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Walter Wayne Pam, Sr.

Walter Wayne Pam, Sr. was a blessing from God on Saturday, July 11, 1964 to the late Alton Flynn and Margarttie (Jacobs) Pam in Bogalusa, Louisiana. He was also called by God to take his eternal rest on Monday, March 6, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Walter entered Bogalusa High School in 1980 and became a part of the football team. He joined the United States Army in 1984 and served for twenty years. He received several accolades two-times Army Commendation Medal, three-times Army Achievement Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, six-times Army of Good Conduct Medal. He also received the Overseas Service Award, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Expert Marksmanship Badge and the Overseas Service Ribbon. He also became The Bradley Fighting Vehicle Master Gunner Instructor and so much more.
Walter was a pillar to his family and friends, a standup guy, a comedian, a father, a brother, a friend and a husband. While growing up in his small town of Bogalusa, LA., everyone knew him as “Loud Walt”. Walter and his friends became the Hav-A-Tampa Jewels; a group of five friends that would grow to become the best of friends. To know him was to love him, because his character was one of a kind. The love Walt shown to his entire family was unmatched.
Walter leaves to cherish these memories of his greatest love, his wife: Tammy Pam of Roland, OK.; two sons: Michael (Rachelle) Pam of Odessa, TX. and Walter Pam II of Atlanta, GA.; three daughters: April Pam of Bogalusa, LA., Jamelia Gay of Atlanta, GA. and Amber Hawthrone of Grand Prairie, TX.; a step-son: Terrence Wilson of Fort Smith, AR.; a step-daughter: LaTia Smith of Fort Smith, AR.; two daughters he helped raise: Jalynn (Joshua Berard) Easterwood and Da’Kayla Clayton both of Fort Smith, AR.; eighteen grandchildren; a great-grandson: his Tru’; a brother: Thomas (Janice) Pam of Lacombe, LA.; three sisters: Pamela Edwards of Bogalusa, LA., Monica Pam Mixon of Mandeville, LA. and Charlotte Pam Amy of Mandeville, LA. and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Walk-through visitation will be Sunday, March 12, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Rowell-Parish Mortuary 611 North 9th Street Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
Celebration of life service will be held Monday, March 13, 2023 at 11 a.m. at The Pentecostal Church 3700 Kelley Highway Fort Smith, Arkansas 72904.
Committal service and final resting place will be at the Fort Smith National Cemetery Fort Smith, Arkansas.
