On January 27, 1969, McArthur Williams Jr. was introduced to the world by his proud parents, McArthur and Lenora Williams. From the very beginning, his life was marked by purpose, intelligence, and a quiet strength that would touch many. He attended Northside High School in Fort Smith, Arkansas, where he earned his high school diploma. Driven by determination and a passion for learning, he continued his education at Westark Community College, Webster University and John Brown University. Through dedication and perseverance, he earned an Associate of Arts degree, a bachelor’s degree in science, and a master’s in business administration. Education was not just an accomplishment for him — it was a reflection of his discipline, ambition, and belief in building a better future. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy, demonstrating courage and commitment beyond himself. His service was a testament to his character and sense of responsibility. Gifted and intellectually curious, Mac was fluent in multiple languages, including Spanish and French. He was a lifetime member of the NAACP- Sebastian County Division and the Fort Smith Writer’s Guild, standing for justice, expression, and community empowerment. Professionally, he served the people of Arkansas as a Program Eligibility Specialist with the Department of Human Services for 15 years, where he worked faithfully to assist individuals and families in need. His career was rooted in service — helping others navigate life with dignity and support. McArthur was a devoted member of First Missionary Baptist Church of Fort Smith. He was a true and faithful servant of God who believed in walking by faith and showing love through action. His life reflected his devotion. He had a vibrant spirit and simple joys. His favorite color was red — bold and strong, just like him. He was a loyal fan of the Washington Commanders and Arkansas Razorbacks basketball, cheering them on faithfully through every season. Above all, he was a father and grandfather.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Lenora Williams; his brothers, Adrian   Kirk, David Kirk, Roy Kirk II, Roy Kirk III, Anthony Kirk; his children, Sam Williams, Vanessa Spratley, Lenora Freeman, Tiffany Williams, and Hannah Logan; along with his twenty (20 )grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, McArthur Williams Sr.; his brothers, Hassan Ali Williams and Michael Kirk; and his sister, Libby Maxine Bellamy; and his daughter, Christina Marie Williams. McArthur’s life was one of service, faith, education, and perseverance. Though he has departed from this earthly life, his impact remains in the hearts of those he loved and those he served. His memory will forever be a reminder of dedication, resilience, and unwavering faith.
