In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Lewis/McDade Families. Mary's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Ms. Mary Ann Lewis.

Mary Ann Lewis was born on January 6, 1949

in Fort Smith, Arkansas to the late Forrest McDade and the late Alice McDade. She passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was a member of St. Augustine Episcopal Church.

She was a long-time Seamstress in Midwest City, Oklahoma until she retired in 2015.

Mary leaves to mourn her passing, four (4) Sisters: Martha Ali of Chesterfield, MI., Bobbie Jean Perkins and Teresa Oliver both of Fort Smith and Lynn Wright of Fort Mitchell, Ala.

Three (3) Brothers: James and Graham McDade of Fort Smith and Colonel Nedrick McDade (Retired) United States Army of Atlanta, GA.

Twenty-two (22) Nieces and Nephews, along with a host of cousins and friends who will truly miss her.


Celebration of life service will be held

Saturday, June 10, 2023, 11:00am at

St. John's Episcopal Church, 215 North 6th Street.


Committal service and final resting

place will be held at Oak Cemetery.
