In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Fowler Family. Juanita's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Juanita Fowler.

Juanita Fowler was born on February 25,1924 on a cold winter day in Chicago, Illinois to Samuel and Clara Jackson. She passed away on December 8, 2023, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was 99 years and 10 months. Juanita was predeceased by husband, Willie Lee Fowler, daughter Mary Fowler, brothers, Samuel (Bo) Jackson, William (Ed) Jackson, sisters, Johnnie Fentis, Pat Ramey, neice, Lawanda ("Skipper") Bradley, nephews, Raymond Fentis, Arnold Fentis.
Juanita loved and has always been the rock of her family. She started as a teenager looking after her younger siblings which extended to their children, helping family members financialy, emotionally, from providing a place to stay to sharing words of wisdom.
Juanita had been employed in a variety of fields in her life time, notably, for McDonnell Douglas during WWII, as a nurse for Walter Reed Hospital, and for over 29 years as a Clerk for the United States Postal Service in Los Angeles, California, where she retired and eventually moved to Fort Smith to be with family members.
Juanita was unique with her wit and humor; many were in awe of her independence and intelligence which she continued to display until her passing. Of her many accomplishments, was becoming a licensed real estate agent in the State of
California for her personal interest in buying real estate. She lived through many changes in the world and had many stories for each era. She loved sports and knew all the players stats, she loved making things for her home and was an excellent cook.
Survivors include sons, Philip Fowler, Bruce Fowler, daughter, Shawn Campbell, nieces, Patrice Jackson, Lynne Morrell, Myen Manning, nephews, Kerwin Jackson, Marvin Fentis, Rick Fentis, Gradie ("Tippy") Ramey, Grandchildren, Joseph Fowler, Farron Fowler, Cassie Smith, William Hall, Katelynn Inman, Great Grandchildren, Caleb Fowler, Chris Fowler, Erin Fowler, Makayla Juanita Fowler, Joslyn JJ Fowler, Remi Smith, Olive Smith, and a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends who gave her lots of support and help on many days along the way. She will always be remembered by those who know and came to know her as a loving person. You've inspired so many of us. A talent for conveying exactly how you feel and speaking exactly whats on your mind in the most efficient way. You exemplify so many wonderful qualities that many of us will strive to mirror and pass onto others as a tribute to your time here on earth. Your capacity to love and to make those around you feel loved in a way that transcends distance and time. You will eternally be remembered as an extraordinary woman. Your heavenly family is waiting spread your wings and soar.
Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, December 20, 2023, 10:00 A.M. at Harvest Time Church, 3100 Briar Cliff Ave., Fort Smith, Arkansas.
