Joyce's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mother Joyce Thurman.

Mrs. Joyce Ann Thurman, 68, of Little Rock, Arkansas was born on October 4, 1954 to the late Joisephine Morgan and Alvin Robinson in Little Rock, Arkansas. She confessed her hope in Christ at an early age. As she became an adult, she moved to Nebraska and later to Atlanta. After the passing of her husband, she returned to Arkansas.


Mrs. Joyce is preceded in death by her husband Al Thurman; son, Curtis Morgan; mother, Joisephine Morgan; father, Alvin Robinson; sister, Ruby Steen; and brothers, James and T.J. Morgan.


Mrs. Joyce leaves to cherish her memories, grandchildren, Curnish Richards, Leron, Josh, Tyler, and Lakia Morgan; 12 great-grandchildren all of Omaha, Nebraska; three sisters, Mary Perry, Kaye (Abdulah) Muhammad, Ronnie (Linda) Morgan, Margo Brown all of Little Rock, Arkansas and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, August 5, 2023, 10:00am at Abundant Grace Christian Church, 9901 Leah Ln, Mabelvale, Arkansas 72103.
