Joshua's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Joshua Nathaniel Franklin.

Joshua Nathaniel Franklin was born on September 23, 1989, to Renee McIntyre-Withers and the late Anthony Franklin in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. The family moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas in 2001 where he graduated from Fort Smith Southside High School with the Class of 2007.
During his early childhood years, him and his mother attended First Church of God In Christ. Joshua was a good child growing up, he just wanted to be accepted and loved by his family and friends. He was very easy-going; he loved music, jewelry, sports, and lots of food and coffee.
He was preceded in death by his father, Anthony Franklin; brother: Arthur McIntyre and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Joshua leaves to forever cherish his memories: his mother: Renee Withers and stepfather: Ralph Withers of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends that will all truly miss him.
A walk-through visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday January 16, 2026; 9:00am to 6:00pm Rowell-Parish Mortuary Chapel 611 North 9th St., Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901; followed by a celebration of life service on Saturday January 17, 2026, at 11:00am Rowell-Parish Mortuary Chapel.
Burial and final resting place: Oak Cemetery 1401 S. Greenwood; Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.
