James Allen Toney, Jr. was born on August 22, 1958, in Morrilton, Arkansas, to the late Willie Eva Smith-Toney and James A. Toney, Sr. He received his education at Eastside Menifee High School.

At an early age, James professed his faith in Christ and later united with New Generation Church, where he remained a faithful member.

James worked many years at Tyson Foods in Dardanelle, Arkansas, where he served with dedication until his retirement. He was known for his commitment, steady presence, and the respect he showed to others.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Willie Eva Smith-Toney, and his brothers, Randy and Reggie Toney.

James leaves to cherish his memory: his father, James Toney, Sr.; his children, Daisha Wade, Stephon Wade, and Roshonda Evans, all of Conway, and Lamar Walker of Morrilton; his sisters, Mary Toney of Conway, Robin Toney of Morrilton, and Georgia Broady of Conway; his brother, Frederick Toney of Springfield, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends.

The Toney family would like to extend a special thank you to Ola Jean Doss and her family, who stood as more than just friends. They were family in every sense of the word and James will be remembered for his faith, his devotion to family, and the steady example he set for those who knew him.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, October 3, 2025 from 12:00 pm-5:00 pm at Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations.

Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, October 4, 2025, 1:00 pm at New Generation Church, 1055 Sunflower Dr, Conway, AR 72034.
