Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Brother Dexter Lemond (Mont) McVay Sr., forty-six years of age was born July 02, 1976, to Annie (Dennis) Ealy and the late Deacon Welton Foster Jr. in Morrilton AR. He departed his life Saturday February 18, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield Mo.
He was preceded in death by his father Deacon Welton Foster Jr., his grandparents James Foster, Letha Mae Byers, Jo Willie Moore and Willie Allen.
Lemond (Mont) confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined the Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church. He moved to Twin Grove, AR and attended Guy-Perking School District. He later became a father to Donevon McVay, Dexter McVay Jr. and Devin McVay. He was a long-time employee of Whitman Contractors and was passionate about his trade and a very dedicated employee until he resigned due to health-related issues.Lemond (Mont) later in life returned to Twin Grove, AR where he met Shameka Brunger. She remained a special friend until his death. He enjoyed cooking, family and friends back yard barbeque, listening to music. He was a true Dallas Cowboy fan and loved Spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Lemond (Mont) leaves to cherish his memory his parents: Annie (Dennis) Ealy, Stepmom Willie Foster all of Twin Grove AR. Children: Donevon McVay Mayflower AR, Dexter Jr. McVay, Springfield Mo and Devin McVay of Quitman AR, Taylor Tipton, Springfield Mo Siblings: Demeris Campbell, Shane (Regina)Foster, Kedrick Foster, Byron (Chanel) McVay all of Twin Grove, AR Jessie (Danny) Minton Springfield Mo, Dennis (Brandy) Ealy Jr Niceville, FL, Thomas (Brittney) Ealy Morrilton, AR Doreen (Jack) Holloway and Rodney (Sheila) Foster of Conway, AR
Walk through visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, March 3, 2023 from 12:00pm - 5:00pm at Veasley Funeral Home.
Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023, 1:00pm at Solomon Grove Baptist Church, 273 Solomon Grove Rd., Twin Groves, Arkansas 72039.
Committal service and final resting place will be held at Solomon Grove Cemetery, Twin Groves, Arkansas.
