Waymon Rochell Hannah was born to Johnnie (Hannah) Johnson and the late D’Earl Haynes on August 7, 1963 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Waymon accepted Jesus as his Savior at an age and joined the Temple of Healing Church of God in Christ in Oklahoma City. He loved and was very active as a child in the Children’s Church; he was the church treasurer. He travelled as a youth the National Convention.

Waymon attended school in the Oklahoma City Public School System for some years, and he also attended a private school for several years in Oklahoma City. At a young age, he was a lover of sports; baseball and basketball were the two that he would participate in along with his friends. As a young man in high school, he worked part-time at the Quail Creek Country Grill.

As time moved forward, Waymon moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was employed for a few years with the Van Buren Pipe Company. He was also known for doing side jobs, he was good at painting and landscaping.

Waymon was a loyal and loving spouse, an extraordinary father, and an outstanding grandfather. He would wake up early in the morning, turn on old school music to get the day started for everyone. He was a friendly and a likeable kind-of-a-guy. He impacted many lives with just his presence. He loved hanging out with his family and friends. He was also a giving guy, even if it was his last. He knew the true meaning of paying it forward. All you had to do was spend the day him, and you would learn how great he was as a man. He also knew how to make you laugh, smile, and have a good time.

Waymon’s mother spoke of how they would enjoy travelling to Fort Smith and having church as a family. They would attend services at New Life Church of God in Christ, and afterwards, they would have church at home and invite friends over to the house. Waymon will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Waymon leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Dottie Davis of Fort Smith, Arkansas; his three sons, Don’ya, Cornellius, and Tranay Hannah all three of Fort Smith, Arkansas; two step-daughters, Michel’le Wilson and Shauntia Covin both of Fort Smith, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Marcus Hill, Aminah Hill, Cornellius Hannah, Jr., and Nasir Hill; his mother, Johnnie Johnson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, two brothers, Derrick Whitfield of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Earl Haynes of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Ester and Tonya Haynes both of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
