John's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. John Willie Saxton.

John Willie Saxton, 56 of Conway, Arkansas, was born on December 25, 1961 in Forrest City, Arkansas to Clarence and Gracie Lee Saxton. John entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, April 13, 2018 at Cadron Creek.


He attended Forrest City High School in Forrest City, Arkansas and later moved to Brinkley, Arkansas where he spent many years working at Rivera Rice. He later moved to Conway and worked many years at Rick McGinty CO, Inc. until his health failed him.


John is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Gracie Saxton and his brother Ricky Saxton.


John leaves to cherish his loving memory;,children, Marquise (Tena) Taylor of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Lynette Saxton (Christopher Washington) and Shanette (Gary) Saxton-Gardner all of Newport News, Virginia, Bryan (Sarah) Taylor of Conway, Arkansas; grandchildren, Tamara Taylor, Tyson Taylor, Tylen Taylor, Kamari Saxton, Madison Saxton, and Darren Logan; siblings, Shirley Meanus of Forrest City, Arkansas, Clarence Saxton, Jr. of Houston, Texas, Debra (Pete) Nelson of Conway, Arkansas, Aljea (Michael) Simmons, Liza Webster and Gracie Eabron all of Conway Arkansas, Howard Saxton of Little Rock, Arkansas, Tashala (Fredrick) Saxton-Ashby of Austin, Texas, Sereda Saxton-Chambers, Conway, Arkansas, Daniel (Chiffon) Williams and Michael (Patricia) Williams all of Little Rock, Arkansas, Brenda Childers of Forrest City, Arkansas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.


John had a kind, gentle, soul and a matching generous heart. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. He doted on his family. You could never be in his presence and not be showered with hugs, kisses, and that warm smile. When John wasn’t being the helpful, loving, father, brother, and uncle, you could find him on any given day at one of the area fishing holes, enjoying his favorite pastime. John was called home while enjoying his favorite pastime.

Celebration of life memorial service will be held Saturday, April 21, 2018, 11:00 AM at New Generation Church, 1000 Holiday Dr., Conway, Arkansas 72034.
