Gearldine's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away." Gearldine Kelley was born on November 26, 1926 to the late Elvige and Letha Brown. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful servant at Harrison and Willow Street Church of Christ in Conway, Arkansas. While she enjoyed many things, gardening and time spent with family and friends was her true passion.
Gearldine is preceded in death by her parents, Elvige and Letha Brown; her husband George M. Kelley; three brothers Leon, Ellis, and Louis Brown, and three sisters Deloris George, Brunetta Easterwood, and Estelle Baker.
Gearldine leaves to cherish her loving memory, four sons, Robert Kelley of Dallas,Texas, Raymond (Karen) Kelley of Conway, Arkansas, Wade (Sherree) Kelley of Conway, Arkansas, Terry Kelley of San Francisco , California; two daughters, Rasheedah Kelley of Conway, Arkansas; Melonie E. Kelley of Conway, Arkansas; twenty two grandchildren, thirty three great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 24, 2017 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at the funeral home. A gathering for family and friends will take place immediately following the visitation at Country Inn and Suits conference room located at 750 Amity Road, Conway, Arkansas 72032. Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2017, 11:00am at Harrison Willow Church of Christ, 1120 Harrison Street, Conway, Arkansas 72032. Interment will be held Thursday, April 27, 2017, 11:00am at the Arkansas State Veteran Cemetery, 1501 Maryland Ave., Sherwood, Arkansas 72120.
