John Edward Williams, 72, of Conway, Arkansas was born in Los Angeles, California on November 4, 1944, from the union of Oscar, Sr. and Roberta Williams. John was the fourth child born to Oscar, Sr. and Roberta. He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Regina Sanders and Doris Augustine.

John was joined in Holy Matrimony to Beverly Woods Williams and blessed to this union, two children were born, Elisha Williams-Bradley and Jon Jamar Williams. He graduated from Fremont High School in Los Angeles, California and received his Associate Degree from Compton College. He also attended Cal State University, Dominguez Hills located in Carson, California. John served his country well in the United State Air force.

John accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior under the leadership of Bishop Connedy of Palm Lane Church of God in Christ, Los Angeles, California. As he grew in Christ, he served on the Deacon Board at Tower of Faith under the ministry of DR. R .P Anderson, Compton, California. In his senior years; he served as chairman of the Deacon Board under the leadership of Pastor E. C. Maltbia, Senior Pastor at True Holiness Saints Center, Conway, Arkansas. It profits us nothing to seek from human source the reason for a Devine Act when all things are fulfilled and the appointed time arrives, the almighty God recalls his servant just as he at another time sent him to us.

John became the foster dad to over forty boys; directing them in the path of righteousness. He was the God Father to Yatae Lewis, Shawna Lewis, and Denice. He was affectionately known as Papa to Yatae Jr., Zamir and Xavier Lewis and God Granddad to Janae Cain.

John loved God in his generation as he loved his family and long term friend Willie D. Bryant. He loved to sing and listen to music; his favorites were Gospel and Jazz. His love for travel took his family around the world. His favorite bible verse was: "THE EARTH IS THE LORDS AND THE FULLNESS THERE OF". John introduce his immediate family to as much of the earth as possible. A precious soul from us has moved on; a voice we loved is still, a space is vacant in the home that can never be filled. Be at peace John. WE love you, and trusts that God our Father knows best.

As he decided to hang his hat in Arkansas, John leaves to cherish his loving memory, his wife Beverly; daughter Elisha (Kevin) Williams-Bradley; son Jon Jamar Williams; brother Oscar Williams, Jr.; five sisters in law; seven brothers in law and a host of nephews, nieces and friends.
