Deloris' earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away." Deloris Marie Flakes-Bull was born May 19, 1947 in Althimer, Arkansas to the late Dallas and Dorothy Mae Easterwood-Flakes. She was raised by Lonnie J. and Dorothy Mae Easterwood-Cunningham after January of 1953. She departed this life on November 30, 2016 at Salem Place Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Conway, Arkansas surrounded by family and friends. At an early age, Deloris united with Greater Friendship Baptist Church in Conway, Arkansas and after some time re-united with the church and was a faithful member until her illness. Deloris "Flakes" as she was affectionately called, attended school at Pine Street in Conway, Arkansas and graduated with the class of 1965 at Pine Street High School where she was a cheerleader, President's Queen and a member of several groups, clubs, and organizations. She loved her classmates. Deloris worked at many factories in Conway, Arkansas but she spent the most time at the Conway Shoe Factory until her illness. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, father, Lonnie (Magaleen) Cunningham; one son, Brady (Melanie) Ester, Jr. of Little Rock, Arkansas; three daughters, Porchia (Michael) Rice of Plumerville, Arkansas, Kina (Jimmy) Malone of Little Rock, Arkansas, Adrian Reed-Payne of Conway, Arkansas; grandchildren, Michael II, Meikale Rice both of Russelville, Arkansas, Kendrick Tyus, Jimmy Lee Malone, III, Abdoul Malone all of Little Rock, Arkansas, Antonio Reed of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Natalie Rice of North Little Rock, Arkansas, Dominique Martin, Charmaine Payne both of Conway, Arkansas, Toddera Garlington, Maddie both of Little Rock, Arkansas, Denaya Ester of Denver, Colorado; eleven great-grandchildren; two uncles, Louis (Sarah) Easterwood, Earl (Evelyn) Easterwood both of Conway, Arkansas; three aunts, Casterino Henderson, Shirley Garner of Conway, Arkansas, Lourena Henderson of St. Louis, Missouri and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held Friday, December 9, 2016 from 6pm-7pm at Veasley Funeral Home, 1111 Harkrider St., Conway, Arkansas 72032. Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 10, 2016, 11:00am at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 146 Taylor Circle, Conway, Arkansas 72032. Interment will be held at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 146 Taylor Circle, Conway, Arkansas 72032.
