William Lewis Williamson was born on December 10, 1949 to the late Lewis Virgil and Elizabeth Williamson in Dardanelle, Arkansas. He was the fifth of eleven siblings. He was deeply loved by his family, church home and community. William was gentle and well-mannered and he loved all the lives that he met and touched.
At a young age he confessed his faith in Christ and was baptized at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church by the late Rev. Norman H. McGill. He united with Liberty Hill Baptist Church, Little Rock, Arkansas in 2004 (Rev. Frederick Haynes, Pastor). He was active in the Culinary/Hospitality Department and the Men’s Ministry.
William graduated from Russellville High School in 1967 and he continued his educational pursuits at Arkansas Tech University. He then attended Henderson State University where he received a scholarship in music arts. He continued in his father’s footsteps in the janitorial profession and later owned his own janitorial service in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his sisters Norene Lee and Charlotte Williamson; his brother Michael Williamson, and his son Frank Brown.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, two sons, William Lewis (Billy) Williamson, Jr. (Donna) of Denver, CO., and Chad Edward Everett Williamson (Wendy) of Tucson, AZ; three daughters, Tiffany Williamson of Little Rock, AR., Dana Brown of Pine Bluff, AR., and Dorcas Chenault of Topeka, KS. siblings Robert Perry Jr. of Reno, NV, Larry Perry (Joetta) of Little Rock, AR., Jerry Wayne Williamson (Bettye) of Little Rock, AR., Virgil Lee Williamson (Shirley) of Conway, AR., Tyrone Williamson (Crystal) of Russellville, AR, Rev. John Dale Holland, of Little Rock, AR., Trish Moore (Gino) of Little Rock, AR., Virginia Ann Perry of Oklahoma City, OK. and his aunt Mrs. Violet Gray, of Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was deeply loved by all of his children, eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 5pm - 7pm at True Holiness Saints Center, 198 Hwy 286 East, Conway, Arkansas 72034.
Funeral will be held Friday, September 2, 2016, 1:00pm at New Prospect Missionary Baptist Church, 321 South Houston Place, Russellville, Arkansas 72801.
