Ebony Paige Canady, 37, of Conway, Arkansas departed this life on August 8, 2016 in Houston, Texas. Paige was born June 18, 1979 to the late Frederick O'Tey and Mildred Mae Canady in Little Rock, Arkansas. She confessed her hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized at Victory Missionary Baptist Church in Little Rock. She loved her family, loved to travel, but most of all loved to cook. She also found joy in shopping and was one of the best interior decorators around. She received a Bachelor's degree in political science as well as an Associate of Arts degree in Theater from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. On June 16, 2007 she was united in Holy Matrimony to Frank E. Shaw and to this union one son was born. Before moving to Houston, she attended and was an active member of Central Baptist Church in Conway, Arkansas.
Paige was preceded in death by her grandparents, Andrew Byers Sr., and Mazell Crawford Byers; her uncle, Roy Stephen Byers, and her parents.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, one son, Ethan Parker Shaw; one daughter, Chanal McKinsie Smith-Shaw both of Conway, Arkansas; five brothers, Gregory (Alisha) Canady of Atlanta, Georgia, Karras (Glenda) Canady of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Trey O'Tey of Frisco, Texas, Logan Canady of Conway, Arkansas, Cortny Canady of Little Rock, Arkansas; one sister, Amber O'Tey of North Little Rock, Arkansas; two uncles, Andrew Byers, Jr. of Morrilton, Arkansas, Jerry Byers of Little Rock, Arkansas; three aunts, Mary (Louis) Williams of Little Rock, Arkansas, Brenda (Willie) Brown of Memphis, Tennessee, Karen (David) Byers of Conway, Arkansas and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends and family.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 12, 2016 from from 2pm-5pm at Veasley Funeral Home and from 6pm-9pm at True Holiness Saints Center, 198 Hwy 286 East, Conway, Arkansas 72032.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 13, 2016, 11:00am at True Holiness
Saints Center, 198 Hwy 286 East, Conway, Arkansas 72032.
Final resting place will be at Mount Vernon Cemetery in Cleveland, Arkansas.
