In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Adams family. Ycenea’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Ms. Ycenea Shawnnae Adams.

Ycenea Shawnnae Adams was born on January 30, 1988, to Raymond Morgan and Tycene Adams in Kansas City, Missouri. She passed away peacefully at her home in Morrilton, Arkansas on May 29, 2021.


Ycenea believed in God. Therefore she chose to accept Christ at Trinity Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Maumelle, Arkansas. Ycenea attended school at South Conway County School District in Morrilton, Morrilton High School where she received her GED, and college at UACCM. Just like her sisters; she loved healthcare and taking care of everyone. She never departed anyone without saying "I Love You" and "See you later".


Ycenea leaves behind to cherish her memory, her mother, Tycene Adams of Morrilton, Arkansas; her step-dad, who she called "Daddy", Curtis B. (Kimberley her God-mother) Adams, Jr. of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ycenea has two daughters, Arriyanah Chatman, Jayla Jackson and one son, Carl "C.J." Jackson whom she loved so very much; three sisters, Tylena Wright of Conway, Arkansas, TyRena (Andre Sr.) Massey of Roland, Oklahoma, TyKayla Adams of Tulsa, Oklahoma; two brothers Curtis B. (Torian) Adams, III of Austin, Texas, Cameron Adams of Fayetteville, Arkansas; uncles Harold "Jeff" (Mary) Newsome of Morrilton, Arkansas, Cornell "Tadpole" Newsome of Morrilton, Arkansas; aunt, Sharon "Gail" Newsome; three nieces, Talaysia Wright, Ke’Leah Massey, Aariah Wright; two nephews, Xavier Wright, Andre (DJ) Massey Jr.; special friend, Jason Jackson of Conway, Arkansas; special aunt/God-mother, Lesia Matthews of Conway, Arkansas and a host of extended family and friends.


A special memorial service will be held for family and friends, Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 1:00pm to 4:30pm at Rowell-Parish Mortuary, 611 N. 9th St., Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.


Family and friends walk through visitation will be held Friday, June 4, 2021 from 1:00pm to 7:00pm with immediate family greeting friends from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at Veasley Funeral Home.


Celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 5, 2021, 11:00am at Spring Valley Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 352 Pinter Ln, Morrilton, Arkansas 72110.
