Willis “Bo” Massey was born one of thirteen children to the late Loveth and Mamie (Battiest) Massey on Sunday, March 7, 1943 in Cedars (Pocola), Oklahoma. He was called to take his rest on Monday, September 28, 2020. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Massey; his siblings, Roberta, Clarence, Fred, Lillie Mae, Dorothy Jean, Cora Lena, Joe Melvin, Charles D., Loveth, Jr., and Carrie Bell Massey.

On Friday July 3, 1964 Bo married the love of his life, Onie Mae Clark, and from this union God blessed them to have a daughter, Kimberly. Willis was a loving brother, uncle, husband, and father. He was also a hard-working man who made sure his family was provided for in life. When it came to his family, he was a social-lite. He enjoyed family gatherings and everyone loved to see him (he was everyone’s favorite).

Bo had a good sense of humor, was kind hearted and he loved the outdoors. He was avid watcher of western movies, and loved hanging out with the guys. He would often share his wisdom and advice with the young men in the community. He will be greatly missed by those who knew, loved and appreciated him.

Bo leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 56 years, Onie Mae Massey of Pocola, Oklahoma; his four god-children, Eric “Monty” Triplett (Shelly) of Claremore, Oklahoma, Matthew and Malcom Steward both of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Nakiya Steward of Pocola, Oklahoma; his sister, Mae Lois Massey of California, a host of nieces and nephews, many other relatives, and friends.
