Vincent’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Vincent Acklin.

Vincent Edward Acklin, 56, of Conway, Arkansas went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 13, 2021. He was born on November 6, 1965 in Conway, Arkansas to the late Frances Acklin. Vincent accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Hope Baptist Church in Seaside, California while visiting his older sister Martha.

Vincent graduated from Conway High School in May of 1984 before attending the University of Dallas where he received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Vincent obtained a doctorate degree from the University of Houston. Vincent utilized his education to work in various mental health organizations. Vincent worked at Mainstream Independent Living Center as an Advocate Trainer II for twenty-three years.


Vincent met the love of his life, Regina Edwards in June of 1987. They were married on May 1, 1992 and had two children Whitney and Brandon Acklin of Conway, Arkansas. Vincent loved to be on his computer, talking to his siblings, and spending time with his granddaughters. Vincent was dearly loved for his sense of humor and unique personality.

Vincent is preceded in death by his mother; six brothers, Dewillis Lasker, Wilton Lewis Lasker, William Earl Lasker, Johnny Phillip Lasker, Ceodis Lasker, Clarence Acklin, and one sister, Rose Bentley.


Vincent is survived by his wife Regina; daughter Whitney; son Brandon; two grandchildren, Callie and Niveya all of Conway, Arkansas; six brothers, James Lasker of Conway, Arkansas, Marcus (Deinise) Acklin of Houston, Texas, Genevle (Judith) Acklin, Robert (Alice) Wright, Mark (Denae) Wright, Fletcher Wright all of Conway, Arkansas; Four sisters, Martha Wilson of Conway, Arkansas, Mona Agee Marshall of Conway, Arkansas, Verla (Lee) Williams of El Dorado, Arkansas, and Vernell (Lee) Wright of Conway, Arkansas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends to cherish his memory.


Family and friends walk through visitation will be held Friday, November 19, 2021 from 12:00pm to 7:00pm at Veasley Funeral Home.


Celebration of life graveside service will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021, 11:00am at Robinson Cemetery, 1198 Lincoln St., Conway, Arkansas 72032.


Committal service and final resting place will be held at Robinson Cemetery, Conway, Arkansas.
