In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Kemp family. Terry's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Terry L. Kemp.

Terry Lee Louis Kemp, 63 of Damascus, Arkansas was born on May 26, 1957 to the late Louis and Willie Mae Martin Kemp. Terry transitioned from the earthly dwellings into the arms of the Lord on December 9, 2020. Terry loved Christ and was a member of Solomon Grove Baptist Church where he was baptized at an early age. After a battle with cancer, our Heavenly Father saw fit to relieve his pain and provide him with heavenly rest. He was blessed to be surrounded by family and friends. Terry enjoyed hanging out with friends and family. He also enjoyed a good game of spades and basketball. he worked majority of his life in construction.


Terry was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Kemp; brothers, Dewey Kemp, Shelby Kemp; and one sister, Betty Kemp Macon.


Terry's memory will live on through his caring and devoted family, one son, Christopher Kemp, Sr.; one daughter, Tequila J. Toney; a host of grandchildren; three sisters, Della (Chancey) McGowan, Onita Quarles, Scottie Clemons all of Atlanta, Georgia and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Although he will be missed dearly, we know that his faith and belief in the Lord took him to a better place, his heavenly home.


Celebration of life walk through visitation will be held Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Veasley Funeral Home.
