Sharon’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mrs. Sharon Johnson.

On Tuesday, January 18, 2022 our heavenly father called Sharon Fields-Johnson 58, of Little Rock, Arkansas home. She was obliged and will forever be comforted in his arms. Sharon was born on August 1, 1963 in Marvell, Arkansas. She was the eldest child of Emmitt Reese and Vanette Bankston of Little Rock, Arkansas. She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age and was baptized at Fountain Head M. B. Church, in Marvell, Arkansas. At the time of her death she was a proud member of the Hunter United Methodist Church under the leadership of Pastor Rashim Merriwether, where she remained faithful until she was called home.
Sharon is preceded in death by her father, Emmitt Reese and step-father, Johnny Bankston. She is survived by her mother, Vanette Banktson of Little Rock, Arkansas; husband, Roy Johnson of Little Rock, Arkansas; two children, Nedra Fields of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Desmond Webb of Seattle, Washington; four grandchildren, Rashon Fields, Arrianna Hill, Sereniti Fields-Bryles, and Karrington Fields-Trotter all of Little Rock, Arkansas; three sisters, Pamela Banktson, Michelle (Eric) Colemon, Claudia Banktson and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Sharon was a member of the Arkansas National Guard and later activated and became a member of the United States Army where she served for ten years. She was also an Honorary Eastern Star Member of Bright Star Lodge #322, Little Rock.
Visitation will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022, 1:00 p.m. at Temple of Restoration Church of God in Christ, 10610 Chicot Rd., Little Rock, Arkansas.
Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, January 29, 2022, 2:00 p.m. at Temple of Restoration Church of God in Christ, 10610 Chicot Rd., Little Rock, Arkansas.
