In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Castillo family. Robert’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Robert Castillo.

Robert “Bucky” Castillo was a blessing from God to the late Roberto and Georgia (Ainsworth) Castillo on July 24, 1955 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was called to take his eternal rest on Friday, October 23, 2020. He was also preceded in death by one son, AJ Castillo; one brother, Dennis Crowder; and one sister, Reba Toon.

Robert was educated in the Fort Smith School System. He graduated from Northside High School. He attended the University of Arkansas – Fayetteville. He owned a construction Company, and later worked as a Finance Manager for Fort City Motors in Fort Smith. He volunteered for the River Valley Veterans National Cemetery Association; he truly loved working with them.

Robert was an out-going, friendly person, and he was also very talented. He was always kind-hearted to strangers. He enjoyed playing music and singing. He also enjoyed having a good time with family and friends.

Robert will be cherished forever by his wife, Lisa Castillo of Hackett, Arkansas; his four sons, Robert “Bobby” (Kelly) Castillo of Angier, North Carolina, Derrick (Elizabeth) Castillo of Greenwood, Arkansas, Dee Castillo of Van Buren, Arkansas, and Shawn Harasimo of Wylie, Texas; his daughter, Karrah (Michael) Bleeker of Cameron, North Carolina; his three sisters Betty (Joe) Howard of Rudy, Arkansas, Kay Hargis of Huntsville, Arkansas, and Teena (Joe) Milam of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; his five grandchildren, Emily Castillo, Laikyn Castillo, Jasper Castillo, Paityn Bleeker, and Lucas Bleeker; his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
