In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Davis family. Kelly’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Raymond Kelly Davis.

Raymond Kelly (Kelso) Davis was born on April 6, 1951 to Mary Lee Fowler Davis and Alf Davis in Conway, Arkansas. He attended school in the Mayflower, Arkansas area. Affectionately known to family and friends as Kelly, he accepted Christ in his life and knew God’s word. He was employed at General Motors in Detroit, Michigan and Covington Roofing Company in Conway, Arkansas. He loved traveling with his friend Jerral, going to rodeo’s out of state. He loved horseback riding and gathering with family and friends. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and got highly upset if his team lost. You couldn't talk to him after his team lost!!


Kelly was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Lee Fowler Davis and Alf Davis; Mamie Fowler, Tom (Babe) Fowler; six sisters, Teresa Davis, Dorothy Davis, Penny Davis, Bernice Davis, Linda Faye Davis, Violet Easterwood, Lennox Davis; two brothers, D (Red) Davis, and Monroe (Jackson) Davis.


Kelly leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Elder Elroy H. Davis of Conway, Arkansas; two daughters, Necia Davis of Morrilton, Arkansas, Elmyra King of Franklin, Ohio; two brothers, Craig Horton of Antioch, California, Robert Davis of Springfield, Illinois; two sisters, Louise Ann Davis of Oakland, California, Destine Williams Davis of Detroit, Michigan; nine grandchildren, Shanta (Amon) Martin Davis, Kelli N. Davis (whom was named after him), Garan Davis, A.J. Burton Davis, Paris Avery, Jasmin Avery, all of Conway, Arkansas, Randolph Miggins, Ariyanna King, Cirenty King, all of Franklin, Ohio; eight great-grandchildren, Haden K. Davis, Hezekiah Davis, Cassius Davis, Carter Burton, Parker Avery, Pride Avery, Kasen Haskins, Ariyah Osborne; close family friends, Pearlene Moh, Emeka Moh and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.


Family and friends walk through visitation will be held Friday, February 26, 2021, from 12:00pm to 4:30pm at Veasley Funeral Home, 1111 Harkrider St., Conway Arkansas.


Celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 27, 2021, 2:00pm at New Zion Temple, 1272 Sutton St., Conway, Arkansas.


Committal service and final resting place will be held at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery, Conway, Arkansas.
