Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Porfirio Lopez Recinos was a blessing from God on Monday, July 3, 1967 to the late Julian and Adelina (Recinos) Lopez in Metapan, El Salvador. He was called to take his eternal rest on Thursday, March 11, 2021 from Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Regino Lopez Recinos, and two sisters, Romelia Lopez Recinos and Isabel Lopez Recinos.
Porifiro spent several years in El Salvador before immigrating to the United States in 1996. In El Salvador he worked in agriculture. In America, he worked at OK Foods, Inc and PSSI. He married Sherry Rush in May 2000 in Van Buren, Arkansas.
Profirio passions were soccer and fishing. He truly loved fishing with his niece, Kimberly, and nephews, Geovany, Darwin, and Melvin. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him so dearly and appreciated him in life.
Profirio will forever be cherished and remembered by his wife, Sherry Ann Rush of Fort Smith, Arkansas; a brother, Neftali Lopez Recinos of Fort Smith, Arkansas; six sisters, Auerlia Lopez and Marixa Mendez both of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Teresa Mendez of El Salvador, Hilda Lopez of Belize, Ines and Elia Mendez both of El Salvador and a host of family members and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 13th and Sunday, March 14th, 2021 from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Rowell-Parish Mortuary 611 North 9th Street Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901 | 479-782-9200.
Celebration of life service will be held Monday March 15, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Forest Park Cemetery 5011 Midland Blvd. Fort Smith, Arkansas 72904.
