Marcus Lewis Bishop was a gift from God to Ellis Lewis and the late Annie Idella (Watson) Bishop, Sr. on Thursday, November 29, 1978 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was also called from God to take his eternal rest on Monday, September 20, 2021 from Fort Smith. He was also preceded in death by grandparents.

Marcus accepted Christ at the early age of 10 years old and was baptized by his uncle, Superintendent James Watson, Sr. at Northside Church of God in Christ. He truly believed in the Word of God and he daily demonstrate his love for God. He loved watching Creflo Dollar Ministries and he kept detailed notes of his sermons.

Marcus was a great artist. He enjoyed drawing cars and family members. He once won a citywide art contest. He was also an Arkansas Razorback and the Pittsburgh Steelers fan. On Saturdays, he wore his Razorback T-shirt cheering for them Hogs. On Sundays, you could find him in his Steelers Jersey. He loved nice clothes and he definitely loved to smell good.

Marcus lived a very detailed life; he wrote all medication and appointments on his calendar. He did not like confrontations, drama, nor people being mad at him. He would rather let you have your way than tell you “no”. If the problem had to do with food, then he would speak up about the situation. His favorite song was by Pastor John P. Kee “I Want to Love You”. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him throughout his life.

Marcus will be forever remembered and loved by his father: Ellis Lewis Bishop, Sr.; his seven brothers: Ellis Bishop, Jr., Quincy L. Bishop, James E. (Brittany) Swinson, Vincent (Eboni) Bishop, Demondre R. (Brittany) Bishop, Anthony D. Bishop and Charles (Yolanda) Bishop; a sister: Zelbertia (Norman) Moore, a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, other family members, and friends.

Visitation will be Friday September 24, 2021 from 11 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Rowell-Parish Mortuary 611 North 9th Street Fort Smith, Arkansas 72901.

Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, September, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Northside Church of God in Christ 4420 Kelly Highway Fort Smith, Arkansas 72904.
