Karen Elaine Perry was a blessing from God to Mrs. Osa Lee (West) and the late Nelson Perry on Tuesday, August 21, 1956 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was called to take her eternal rest on Saturday, October 2, 2021 from Houston, Texas. She was also preceded in death by a brother: William Earl Perry.

Karen was baptized at an early age at a Church of Christ Camp. She was educated in the Clarksville Public School System, where she received her High School Diploma. She graduated from the Nursing Program on Friday, May 3, 1991. God blessed Gary & Karen Perry to serve as Pastor & Lady Perry at Visionary Christian Church for eleven years in Alma.

Karen was a loyal, understanding, lover of God, as well as His people. She was very considerate, tolerant, mild-mannered, until she was provoked. She was also a quiet lady who was very, very, strong, would take charge when she needed to and she was truly an obedient follower when she needed to be. She was a smart, wise, trustworthy, dependable person who was always willing to help and always looked for the good in people. She married the love of her life on Saturday, April 19, 1975 at Raymond Munger Memorial Chapel on the Campus of the College of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas. Together they treasured over 46 blissful years of a God-blessed union.

Karen was a great awesome and loving wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was loved and respected by her co-workers at Baptist Health-Fort Smith. She also loved to shop, but she would not drop or get tired! She will be greatly missed by all who adored and appreciated her throughout her beautiful life.

Karen will be forever cherished and remembered by her faithful husband: Pastor Gary O’Neal Perry of Alma, Arkansas; her two sons: Shondale Lakey Perry of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Ethan Andre (Tara) Perry of Houston, Texas: her five grandchildren: Kennedy, Keyarah, Iana, Aubrey and Jaylen; her mother: Osa Lee (West) Perry of Clarksville, Arkansas; her brother: Ronald (Lisa) Perry of Fort Smith, Arkansas; her sister: Rhonda Green of DeRidder, Louisiana, and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives, and friends.
