Jesse's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Jesse Leon Sanders passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021. Jesse was born on July 9, 1953 to Matilda Williams and Jesse Sanders. He was preceded in death by his parents, Matilda and Jesse Sanders; brothers, Robert Lee Sanders, Sr., Charles “Sputnik” Helloms; Freddie Baker, Sr.; two grandchildren, Austin Burks, Sr., and Sedria Fowler.


Jesse accepted Christ on July 9, 2013 as he joined Diane Poindexter in holy matrimony. He was employed by the City of Little Rock. Following a career as a diesel truck driver for Rich Logistics prior to owning his own company, lovingly named Mane Mane Trucking.


Jesse leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Diane Sanders of Little Rock, Arkansas; three daughters, Eugenia (Danny) Walker of Maumelle, Arkansas, Shajuana Gipson of Little Rock, Arkansas, Natashe (Cedric) Christopher of Bryant, Arkansas; stepson, Deleon Poindexter of Little Rock, Arkansas; grandchildren, LaRhonda Burks, Justin Burks, Alexis Austin, Machaela “Dolla Bill” Gipson, Marlayna “Money” Gipson, Jaylin Christopher, Cedric Christopher; two great-grandchildren, Austin Burks, Jr., Justin Burks, Jr.; three sisters, Rosemary Phillips of Fort Worth, Texas, Wanda Faye (Lewis) Dillard of North Little Rock, Arkasnas, Jerri (Terrence) Walker of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; two brothers, Henderson Spencer of Little Rock, Arkansas, James Sanders of North Little Rock, Arkansas and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Walk through visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, April 2, 2021 from 1:00pm-6:00pm at Veasley Funeral Home.


Graveside celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 3, 2021, 10:00am at Forrest Hills Cemetery, 10200 AR-5, Alexander, Arkansas 72002.
