Mr. Henry Ben Veasley, Jr., age 66, of Conway, Arkansas, passed away on March 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Henry was born on August 10, 1959, in Conway, Arkansas, to the late Henry Veasley, Sr. and Barbara Ann (Veasley) Maltbia. From an early age, Henry possessed a warmth that could not be taught and a spirit that could not be contained. His smile was genuine, his presence was comforting, and his heart was open to all. He had an extraordinary gift for making people feel seen, valued, and loved—he truly never met a stranger.

Henry devoted his life’s work to serving others through the funeral service industry, answering a calling that required both strength and compassion. He began his career at Miller-Elston Mortuary in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he learned the sacred responsibility of walking alongside families in their most difficult moments. For Henry, this was never just a profession—it was a ministry of care, dignity, and deep respect.

With vision and unwavering dedication, Henry went on to establish Veasley Funeral Home, which became widely respected for its excellence, compassion, and personal touch. His commitment to serving families grew even further with the addition of Rowell-Parish Mortuary, extending his reach and impact throughout the community and state. Henry did not simply serve families—he embraced them, comforted them, and stood with them when they needed it most.

Beyond his professional life, Henry’s personality was bold, vibrant, and unforgettable. He was truly a “bike-riding cowboy” at heart—full of life, style, and authenticity. Rarely seen without his signature cowboy hat, hard-starched jeans, and boots, Henry carried himself with confidence and pride. He found joy in the simple things, especially in caring for his vehicles, which he kept spotless as a reflection of the pride he took in everything he touched.

Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Veasley, Sr. and Barbara Ann Maltbia; his stepfather, Lee Edward Maltbia; his sister, Patricia Veasley; and his son, Heath Veasley Rogers.

He leaves to cherish his memory his four children, Henry Ben (Tia) Veasley, III, Derrick (Anndrea) Veasley, Erika Veasley, and Xavier Wilson; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were a source of immense pride and joy; one brother, Pastor E.C. (Natasha) Maltbia; and five sisters, Barbara Mitchell, Phyllis McDaniel, Diane (Theodore) Jones, Gena (Tim) Ester, and Natalee (Darren) Threets. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, dear friends, and the many families who will forever remember his kindness, compassion, and unwavering support.

Henry’s life was a powerful testament to love, service, and human connection. He gave of himself freely, uplifted others effortlessly, and left a lasting impression on everyone blessed to know him. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy will live on—in the lives he touched, the hearts he comforted, and the family he loved so dearly.
