Georgette Steele was a blessing from God given to Diane Luvenia (Rucker) Chatman and the late Orelious Gene Steele, Sr. on Sunday, May 22, 1977 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was called to take her eternal rest on Sunday, December 20, 2020.

Georgette was educated in the Public School System in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She attended Will Rogers High School; she received her GED. She also attended Career Point College, where she received an Associate of Arts Degree. Throughout her life, she accomplished many different trades and mastered a variety of career fields. She also truly loved dancing.

Georgette made life-long impressions on each and every spirit she encountered throughout her life, and her heart of gold shone through her vessel. She was admired and adored by many. She was a patient and kind person, who sincerely loved her family. Her high cheekbones, breathtaking smile, & loving soul made those around gravitate toward her. We all fell in love with her in our own way. She went by many beautiful nicknames: Mother, Daughter, Too, Georgie, etc., and now God has given us one more, Angel. As her family, her legacy continues on through all of us. Although her time on this earth has come to an end; she will be missed by all who loved and treasured her so dearly in life.

Georgette will forever be cherished and remembered by her four children, Kalynn Antwine, Shazel Steele both of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Nyelah Gregory of San Antonio, Texas, and JaShaun Steele of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; her five grandchildren, Khortney, Wisdom, Honor, Grace, and Jordyn; her mother, Diane Rucker of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her bonus mother, June Jones of Cameron, Oklahoma; her five siblings, Orelious Steele, Jr. of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Jerryron Steele of Fort Coffee, Oklahoma; Trey Steele of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Mariah Steele of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and Breezie Jones of Springdale, Arkansas, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
