In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Flurry family. Freddie’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Freddie Lee Flurry.

Freddie Lee Flurry was a gift from God on Monday, February 14, 1946 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to the late Leroy and Mary (Stewart) Flurry. God called him to take his eternal rest on Monday, October 4, 2021 from Fort Smith. He was also preceded in death by his stepmother: Luralean Flurry; his stepbrother: Robert L. Greene and a sister: Betty Lou Heath.
Fred accepted Christ at an early age and attended Saint James Missionary Baptist Church. He went to Howard Elementary and attended Lincoln High School.
Fred was a good brother and friend; he was a smooth talker who loved the ladies. Fred had a passion for cooking and found joy in his work at Oaklawn Racetrack in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He later relocated to Fort Smith where he lived out the rest of his life amongst family and friends. He will be greatly missed by who adored and appreciated him throughout his life.
Fred will be forever cherished by his sisters: Jerry Mae Henson (Kenneth) of Coolidge, Arizona; Maxine Holmes (Josiah) of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Washington D.C.; Valerie Bedell of Wichita, Kansas and Rodena Jackson (Eric) of Fort Smith, Arkansas; his brothers: Wardell Flurry of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Leroy Flurry of Flint, Michigan and by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
