Eddie’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Eddie Ryan, Jr.

Eddie Ryan, Jr. was born September 23, 1948, to the late Coreda Bunting Ryan and Eddie Ryan, Sr., in Conway, Arkansas.
Eddie attended School of the Good Shephard and graduated from Pine Street High School. He joined the United States Army and after an honorable discharge, he move to Detroit, Michigan, where he began his career at General Motors, He retired in 2011 after 30 years of employment.
Eddie confessed a hope in Christ in 1994 and joined Bethany Baptist Church. He faithfully served as an usher and a member of the men’s choir. In 2008, Eddie decided to move back to Conway, Arkansas, and joined Union Missionary Baptist Church where he served as an usher and Trustee.
On September 18, 2018, Eddie married his long-time sweetheart, Crystal Byrd.
Eddie lived a very rewarding and fulfilling life until his health started to decline a couple of years ago. He departed this life peacefully on October 14, 2021, surrounded by his family.
Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Robert Ryan; a sister, Alice Nichols; sons, Dorian Ryan, Lonnie Byrd; and a grandson, Patrick Haynes, Jr.
He Leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife, Crystal Byrd Ryan; one sister, Clementine Camberlen; six brothers, Coil Ryan, Lafayette Ryan, Cecil Ryan, Vernell Ryan, Lavell Ryan, Wayne Ryan; children, Patrick (Carleece) Haynes, Kevin (Stephanie) Byrd, Kedra Tucker, Lanay Byrd, Ronnelle Byrd, Lashelle Byrd, Curtis Byrd; one aunt Sally Lee White; 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Walk through visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, October 22, 2021 from 12:00pm to 6:00pm at Veasley Funeral Home.
Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, October 23, 2021, 11:00am at Union Missionary Baptist Church, 1257 Lincoln St., Conway, Arkansas 72032.
Committal service and final resting place will be held at Sinai Cemetery, Conway, Arkansas.
