In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Addison family. Deanna’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Ms. Deanna Addison.

Deanna L. Addison, born in Oakland, CA on October 24, 1968. Her parents Billy Joe Addison, father, and Charles Etta Wright, mother. Deanna was the seventh of eight sisters; Antoinette Dawkins, Yolanda Renee Stringfellow, Patricia Ann Banks, Katrina Arlene Dawkins, Denise Addison, Dr. Latonya Marie Addison, and Zenique Addison.

Early on Deanna showed interest in the musical arts and from age nine to age fourteen she attended the school of Creative and Performing Arts, San Diego, Ca. within five years she learned and mastered playing ten musical instruments.

Deanna graduated from Fremont High School and continued her education at multiple colleges such as Educational Cultural Complex (ECC) San Diego, Ca, Grossmont College, El Cajon, Ca, Cuyamaca College, El Cajon, Ca, University Of Central Arkansas, Conway, Ar. In these times she had become a phlebotomist, collector, fluent in sign language, graphics designer, entrepreneur owning “For The People Beauty Supply” , “Creative Basket Solutions” and “Kreative Graphix”. For a short time in her life she did beauty pageants and indulging in one of her many talents singing even performing for Nae’s Nae’s Music, San Diego.


Preceding in her passing is her mother Charles Etta Wright (May 26, 1940-August 27,2017) and her Father Billie Joe Addison (1943-2020).


Our dearest Deanna leaves behind her three daughters Jauwzeleind A. Addison, Jhaeylleissa M. Addison, and Jeynknoughbiyah I. Addison, her sons Eldridge A. Tervalon Jr. and Joseph T. Murdock, and her grandchildren Jasmine A. Addison, and Joseph “Jr.” Murdock. Her Ex- husband Brian Totten-Evans, her “Older Brother” Otis and family friend Donnie K. Small. Aside from leaving a lifetime of memories, laughter, and jokes, she also leaves her favorite uncle Norman Hicks, and Aunt/ Second mother Lillie Marie Hicks, her aunts Paula Jean Wright, and “Tootie” Johnson, a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

She was a great women of strength, many gifts, and talents. She was a wise women full of information, always willing to teach what she knew like an open book. Her bubbly character and smile would make any gloomy day into sunshine. She had so much passion and gave with all her heart. She was a strong believer in Yeshua and stood on all his promises a true servant for him. May her smile and laughter continue to radiate through our hearts.
