In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Hamilton family. Claudia’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Ms. Claudia Lauretta Hamilton.

Claudia L. (Jones) Hamilton was born on Friday, December 11, 1931 to the late Claude and Adell Jones in Denison, Texas. She was called to take her eternal rest on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from Alma, Arkansas.


Claudia attended the public schools of the Denison, Texas area, graduating from Terrell Senior High School in 1948. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church of Denison, Texas. She moved to Omaha, Nebraska in 1952, where she became member of Salem Baptist Church of Omaha. She later met and married Henry Hamilton.


Claudia attended nursing school at the Omaha Public School Vocational Nursing Program, graduating in 1959 as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She retired in Union City, California to return to Denison, Texas to care for her mother, Adell Jones, for 14 years. She was also a long-time resident of Mauk Circle in Denison, Texas. She will be greatly missed.


Claudia leaves to cherish her memories her sisters: Joyce Chambers of Omaha, Nebraska and Doris (Johnny) Dixon of Alma, Arkansas and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
