Brother Charles Allen Hervey, Sr. started his life journey on November 19, 1943 in Plumerville, Arkansas. He was the son of the late Fred and Carrie Beatrice Black Hervey. He was the youngest of six children. He accepted Christ at an early age, joining the Mount Carmel Missionary Baptist Church in Plumerville, Arkansas. He attended Eastside School in Menifee, Arkansas. He was employed by the Coca- Cola Bottling Company in Morrilton, Arkansas, retiring after twenty five years of service.

A man who has friends must show himself friendly, this was Charles. In the "Hervey Men's Style", he loved to sit on his porch with his legs crossed, joking and laughing with his countless friends, something he did in Plumerville and continued to do when he moved to Morrilton. He was a good cook and he would share his food, but his greatest joy was his family who he loved dearly. God blessed him to enjoy four generations of family. He was united in marriage to Bobbie Jean Reese, who preceded him in death. They were blessed with three children.

Charles was also preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Carrie Hervey; three brothers, John D. "Pistol" Hervey, Arble Lee Hervey and William Eugene Hervey. On July 7, 2021 Charles' earthly journey ended when he accepted his call to eternal life.

Charles leaves a great legacy of love to his three children; Derrick Hervey of Morrilton, Arkansas; Charles A. (Sharon) Hervey, Jr. of Morrilton, Arkansas; Lashonda (Billy) Hervey of Morrilton, Arkansas; his brother, William Lee (Helen) Hervey of Morrilton, Arkansas; his sister, Helen Lee Hervey of Plumerville, Arkansas, who he loved dearly and talked to everyday. He was Papa to six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, friends and special friends, Billy J Nelson Jr, Carnell Strickland, Billy Wasshington and his many friends at park Place in Morrilton, Arkansas.

A family and friends walk through visitation will be held Friday, July 16, 2021 from 12:00pm to 6:00pm at Veasley Funeral Home.

Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, July 17, 2021, 11:00am at Edmondson Cemetery, East Parker St., Plumerville, Arkansas.
