Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts, the sweet life of Barbara Maltbia came to a peaceful close on May 25, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

On September 26, 1937 the world became a brighter place. A beautiful baby girl was born to the late Henry Augusta Mosby and Miss Hazel Price-Mosby in Conway, Arkansas. They named her Barbara Ann Yvonne Mosby. Barbara knew that she loved the Lord and she gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was known as a “prayer warrior” and she could always, “get a prayer through!”

As a scholar, Barbara attended Pine St. High School. She later married Lee Edward Maltbia.

In 1973, Barbara began working at FMC Corporation as an Electronic Assembler, assembling components of automotive service equipment. Before her retirement in 1996, Barbara would often be asked by her coworkers to pray for and with them. She always let her light shine wherever she went.

Barbara was known for her style and grace. She had an “eye” for fashion and was always dressed to the nines. No matter where you saw her, she always exhibited her creativity through her elegant style.

Barbara was a powerful Sunday school teacher and a proud supporter of the marriage ministry where she volunteered to keep children so that their parents could attend. She led Wednesday night prayer service and served faithfully as the church mother at True Holiness Saints Center for over 25 years.

Barbara is preceded in death by her first husband Henry Veasley, Sr., her grandson Heath Veasley Rogers, her parents, her sister Billy Jean Mosby, and five brothers; Pastor John Henry Mosby, Kirby “Leon'' Mosby, Wardell Mosby, Jerry Mosby, and Elder Jacob Mosby.

Her legacy will live on through the hearts of her loving and faithful husband, Lee Edward Maltbia; 5 children, Diane Veasley Jones (Theodore), Henry Veasley, Jr., Gena Maltbia Ester (Tim), Cornell Maltbia (Natasha), Natalee Maltbia Threets (Darren) all of Conway, Arkansas: 10 grandchildren, Josclyn Jones Wiley (Keith), Theodore Jones, III (Chassie), Henry Veasley, III (Shatia), Erika Veasley, Xavier Wilson , Derrick Veasley (Anndrea), Kiera Oluokun (Seyi), Jordan Ester, Kennedy Hughes (Jalon), Connor Maltbia; 17 great grandchildren: 2 sisters, Joyce Haynes of Conway, Arkansas, Donna Ferguson (Limmie) of McKinney, Texas and a host of other relatives, friends and extended church family.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at True Holiness Saints Center.

Celebration of life will be held Sunday, June 4, 2023, 2;00pm at True Holiness Saints Center, 198 Hwy 286 East, Conway, Arkansas 72032.

Committal service and final resting place will be held at Sinai Cemetery, Conway, Arkansas.
