In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Walls family. Arthur’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Arthur James "Jobo" Walls.

When you hear of my homegoing, don't worry about me, I am just another soldier on my way home.
The book of life was opened for Bro. Arthur James "Jobo" Walls on September 5, 1947 in Morrilton, Arkansas. He was the son of the late Johnney "J.C." Walls and Alice T. Criswell Walls. He accepted Christ at an early age, joining the Greater Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Plumerville, Arkansas. Bro. Walls latter attended the Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Morrilton, Arkansas under the leadership of his nephew, Pastor Brandon L. Williams. He was one of the pastor's biggest supporters.
Bro. Walls or "Jobo" as he was affectionately called, attended CCTS/ESHS School in Menifee, Arkansas as well as New Tyler Barber College in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He proudly expressed his joy of working with his late aunt, Lucy Walker in her shop.
Bro. Walls moved to Detroit, Michigan after school, worked for General Motors and later returned to his Arkansas roots to begin work for ESHS School in Menifee, Arkansas as a bus driver. He was also employed by Covington Roofing Company and Tyson Foods. He later became self-employed, opening up his lawn care service, working as a barber, and living his life as a cattle rancher that he and his son A.J. loved doing together.
Jobo was a people person who had a unforgettable smile, a unique voice, and a fashionable style. He was a "suit man", a sharp dresser who never wore blue jeans. He loved old cars, modeling, and singing. He was our happy birthday singer at family gatherings. He was active in our community and always encouraged everyone to get our and vote. Jobo, on most days would be found sitting on "The Hill" shooting the breeze with family and friends, but his heart belong to his grandchildren, who already miss him. He was married to Allene Williams and later united in marriage to Janice "Dippy" Black. He was the father of ten children.
Jobo was preceded in glory by his father, Johnney "J.C." (Ophelia) Walls; mother, Alice T. (Scippio) Hoyle; brothers, Charlie C. Walls, Reginal (Sam) Hoyle, Roy Doss; father and mother-in-law, Herman "Will" and Venora "Ma Puddin" Black; son-in-law, Mike Ealy; brother-in-law, Sherman Black; sister-in-laws, Terrie Walls, Shelia Walls; three of his closest friends, Don Strickland, Jake McDaniel and Freddie Lloyd Donald.
On July 27, 2021 surrounded by his loving family, Jobo stepped into glory and the book of life was closed, leaving a void that will not be filled.
Upon his homegoing, he leaves a great legacy of love to his wife, Janice "Dippy" Walls of Plumerville, Arkansas; four sons, Arthur C. "A.J." (Anna) Walls of Plumerville, Arkansas, James Walls, Arthur Ray Walls and Corey Walls all of Flint, Michigan; six daughters, Lashannon Black and Ann Mechelle Walls both of Morrilton, Arkansas, Rhonda Ealy and Lostee Foster both of Conway, Arkansas, Regina (Ashley) Ealy of Twin Groves, Arkansas, Angel Warren of Plumerville, Arkansas; seven brothers, Billy (Wilma) Walls of Solgohachia, Arkansas, Lester Lee (Diane) Walls of Menifee, Arkansas, Donnie Ray (Levon) Walls and Edward (Flora) Walls both of Plumerville, Arkansas, Calvin (Minnie Jean) Walls of St. Louis, Missouri, Henry Walls of Conway, Arkansas, Rickey Anderson of Macon, Georgia; two sisters, Joyce Walls of Plumerville, Arkansas, Shelia (Cornelus) Marion of St. Louis, Missouri; he was a PaPa to eleven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; four aunts, Lila Payne of Morrilton, Arkansas, Amie Miller and Mamie Cole both of St. Louis, Missouri, Omie Walls of Kansas City, Missouri; he also leaves countless nephews, nieces, in-laws, cousins and friends; two special cousins, Bertha L. Brockman, Annie M. Fields and his many friends on "The Hill" in Plumerville.
He was loved beyond words and will be missed beyond measure.
Walk through visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, August 6, 2021 from 12:00pm to 6:00pm at Veasley Funeral Home.
Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, August 7, 2021, 11:00am at Greater Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 728 Mt. Olive Road, Plumerville, Arkansas 72127.
Committal service and final resting place will be held at Owens Cemetery, Plumerville, Arkansas.
