In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Cornett family. Arleetris' earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mrs. Arleetris Cornett.

Arleetris Price Cornett “Lee” was born in Conway, Arkansas on October 2, 1955 to the late Edna and Louis Price, Jr. She passed away on December 22, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in North Little Rock, Arkansas. She came to faith at an early age and made her church home at Harrison and Willow Street Church of Christ in Conway, Arkansas.

She left her hometown shortly after her high school graduation in 1973. She spent two years in Germany and Europe, returning to the United States in 1976. She lived in Texas for 11 years. In 1988, she and Rickey Neil Cornett were united in marriage. To this union they were blessed with two children, Dakota Neil and Julius Lee, and one grandchild, Andrew Neil Cornett.


She worked at AETN for several years. She later worked at the University of Central Arkansas’ Outreach Department, retiring from UCA Career Services under Dr. Claiborne. Painting was especially comforting to her. She was a featured artist at the Black Renaissance Show in early 2020.


She was a sweet, beautiful, talented sister and friend who became an aunt, wife, mother, student teacher, nurse, artist, writer, and poet. She was a beacon of love and light for her family and those who knew her generous nature. She was family oriented and enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandson, and siblings. Especially the monthly brunches and annual trips with her beloved sisters.


Arleetris was preceded in death by her parents, Louis, Jr. and Edna Price.


She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her husband, Rickey Neil Cornett; two sons, Dakota and Julius Cornett; one grandson, Andrew Neil Cornett, all of Conway, Arkansas; siblings, Grindell “Speedy” (Rita) Price of Conway, Arkansas, Scipieo (Patricia) Price of Little Rock, Arkansas, Vallary (LC) Mitchell of Marianna, Arkansas, Linda Kaye Mattison of Conway, Arkansas, Chinita (Louis) Ford of Little Rock, Arkansas, and a host of family and friends.


Walk through visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, January 4, 2021, from 12:00pm to 6:00pm at Veasley Funeral Home.


Celebration of life service will be held outdoors on the campus of True Holiness Saints Center, 198 Hwy 286 East, Conway, Arkansas on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 1:00pm.


Private interment will be held at the Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery, North Little Rock, Arkansas.
