In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Washington family. Annette’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Ms. Annette Washington.

Ms. Annette "Neida Jean" Lasker Washington was born on October 25, 1957 to the late Joe L. Lasker and Dorothy Mae McDaniel Lasker. She departed this life on February 15, 2021 at the age of 63. Ms. Annette accepted Christ in her early teenage years at Mt. Gale Baptist Church and attended the Church of Christ. She loved her children and only granddaughter with all she had. Spending time with her sisters was the highlight to her days. Being the baby of the family, Annette had brothers to tend to all her needs as a baby sister would have. Annette attended Job Corps at the age of 19 and received her Associates Degree in general studies. Annette later continued her education at the University of Central Arkansas. Annette's career consisted of working as a caregiver for Conway Human Development Center and Salem Place Nursing Home.


Ms. Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Joe L. Lasker (1929-1982) and Dorothy Mae McDaniel Lasker (1930-1999); sister, Laura Ann Lasker (1964-1978); nephew, Todaro Lee Lasker (1972-1992); two brothers, Calvin L. Lasker (1955-1995) and Joe David Lasker (1951-2014) and niece Alicia "Lex" Bedford (1986-2005).


Ms. Annette "Neida Jean" Lasker Washington leaves to cherish her loving memory, her two loving children, Aaron Gray and Gina Gray both of Conway, Arkansas; her one and only beautiful granddaughter, Mallory Robertson of Mayflower, Arkansas; eldest brother, Simueal (Warrenetta Bush) McDaniel of Nebraska, brothers, Timothy (Faye) Lasker of Kansas City, Missouri, Roland (Shenna) Lasker of New Orleans, Louisiana, Paul Lasker of Kansas City, Missouri, Mark T. (Debbie Truesdale) Lasker of Conway, Arkansas, Durwin K. Lasker of Conway, Arkansas; eldest sister, Exia M. Lasker of Conway, Arkansas, sisters, Sarah Bedford of Conway, Arkasnas, Shirley (Howard) Piggee of Conway, Arkansas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends with precious memories of life long experiences.


Celebration of life for immediate family only will be held Friday, February 26, 2021, 1:00pm at Veasley Funeral Home, 1111 Harkrider St., Conway, Arkansas 72032.
