Julia’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mother Julia Oliver.

Julia Evelyn Oliver of Fort Smith, Arkansas, 85, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, July 30, 2020 at Legacy Health and Rehab. Julia was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on Friday, November 16, 1934 to the late Charley H. and Ida Mae Oliver.
Julia was also preceded in death by two sons, Trevor Oliver (2013) and Anthony Rogers (2018) both were from Fort Smith, Arkansas; three brothers, Howard Oliver (1999) (Dolly Mae), Bobby Oliver (2001) (Theola), and Charles Oliver (Odessa) (2001) all were from Flint, Michigan; and two sisters, Louise Holloway (Curtis) of Spencer, Oklahoma (1994) and Hattie Mae Guy (1995) was from Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Julia excepted Christ at an early age and remained a lifelong member of First Missionary Baptist Church. Julia is an Alumni of Lincoln High School, the Class of 1957 in Fort Smith Arkansas. She worked for Riverside Furniture, Shipley Bakery, and Whirlpool (retiring after many years of service). She loved going to garage sales, normally with her granddaughter (Ebony) and niece (Sabrina) in town. After her retirement, she devoted her time doing service work, which included visiting nursing homes, hospitals, and the elderly. Julia was also known for her delicious strawberry cobbler and of course her Sunday tradition of making collard and mustard greens. A woman of strong faith and family values, Julia made lasting relationships with anyone she came in contact with throughout her life. She also enjoyed horse races and would try her luck at a slot machine or two.
Julia was a strong woman who was not afraid to speak up or speak out at any given time. Being a resourceful person, Julia always managed to find the answers and solutions in difficult times, and never afraid to ask for help.
Julia was quick to celebrate Ebony’s and LaDonna’s accomplishments and continued to trust in GOD and pray for others.
Julia will be long remembered for her loving and nurturing spirit, and giving heart by many especially her daughter, LaDonna Oliver-Butler (Bill) of Fort Smith, Arkansas; her two granddaughters, Ebony Wyatt (William) of Plymouth, Minnesota, and Chloeie Scales of Annandale, Virginia; three great-grandchildren, Cannon, Coleman, and Camille Wyatt all three of Plymouth, Minnesota; her special niece, Sabrina Guy-Brevard of Fort Smith, Arkansas, and a host of family and friends.
