In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Kursh family. Marcel’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Marcel Kursh.

Marcel Jerome Kursh, respectfully known as “Krush Nation” in the music industry, was born to the late Marcel Barnes and Evelyn “Evalina” Louise Kursh on March 17, 1978 in Bossier City, Louisiana. After a long hard fight with Congestive Heart failure, he was succumbed on April 11, 2020. He is also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bobby Joe Kursh and Arma Jean Kirksey.
At an early age, Marcel made his confession to serve Christ and was baptized. As a family, they chose and joined the Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ for worship. At his church, Marcel’s service for the Lord was as an usher. Marcel was educated in the Flint Michigan Public School System. As a young child, he loved traveling to Arkansas to be with his family. Family was the most important entity in life to him.
He met the love of his life, Savella Bradley, and they enjoyed one another in holy matrimony for 20 years. To this beautiful union, two sons were born. He was a strong and dependable husband and father. He encouraged education to his family. The doctors said that he had a bad heart, but he actually had a “Heart of Gold”. He was truly determined to live a normal life; therefore, he became a person who sincerely loved helping people. In life, he never met a stranger, for he dearly loved people.
Marcel worked as a forklift driver and CNC machine operator for several years before his battle with sickness and several surgeries. Never to be an idle person, but determined to be the supporter of his family; he became a very successful Uber driver.
Marcel had a deep passion for music; it was his therapy. He became a very well-established artist and a Beat Master. He loved all types of music; Rock & Roll to Jazz to Gospel to Rap. He enjoyed making his own music and helping others develop their own styles. Often recording and performing music, he became known as “Krush” by his clients and associates, and lovingly known as “Cell” or “Celly” by his friends and family.
Marcel leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife, Savella (Bradley) Kursh of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two sons, Dominic and Marcel Kursh; a brother, Jedidiah Kursh of Fort Smith, Arkansas; two sisters, Beaulena Willis of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Bridget Kursh of Flint, Michigan; an uncle, Erskin Williams of Little Rock, Arkansas; a great-aunt, Evelyn Thomas of Kansas City, Missouri; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Bradley of Fort Coffee, Oklahoma, and a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, many other relatives and friends.

2. GRAVESIDE SERVICES WILL NOT HAVE CHAIRS FOR SEATING
3. ONLY 10 PEOPLE MAY COME TO THE FUNERAL HOME FOR INITIAL VIEWINGS
4. NO LIMOUSINE SERVICE
5. NO PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENTS OF FUNERALS VIA NEWSPAPER, WEBSITE, OR STAFF
6. NO PUBLIC VISITATIONS OR WAKES
