Shaikh’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Shaikh Abdullah.

Shaikh Abdullah, 75, of Fort Coffee, Oklahoma passed away on February 5, 2020 at home. He was the son Dorothy Trotter-Chaney and the late AC Chaney. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael W. and Curtis E. Chaney.
Shaikh was a very loving son, brother, uncle, step-father, step-granddad. He was a very friendly and out-going person who never met a stranger. He was a graduate of Lincoln High, the class of 1962. He loved working with children and he volunteered at the Old Fort Smith Boys Club on Wheeler Ave. He was a certified welder and also owned his own janitorial service. In the late 60’s, he joined the religion of Islam, and became a Teacher of Islam. As he went throughout his life, he made sure he spoke of his beliefs to anyone.
Shaikh leaves to cherish his loving memories, his mother, Dorothy Chaney of Fort Coffee, Oklahoma; a brother, Roy L. Chaney (Selma) of Southside, Alabama; three sisters, Sue C. Bunch of Fort Coffee, Oklahoma, Martha E. Curry of Killeen, Texas, and Patricia E. Chaney of Monticello, Arkansas, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, and his Islamic Community.
Graveside and Committal service will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday February 10, 2020 at Fort Coffee Cemetery, 15802 Fort Coffee Road, Fort Coffee, Oklahoma 74959.
