In profound sadness, the staff of Veasley Funeral Home & Cremations, Inc. want to express our sincere condolences to the Anderson family. LaQuits’s earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Ms. LaQuita Annette Anderson.

LaQuita Annette Anderson was born to the proud parents of Frederick and Lillie Smith in Poteau, Oklahoma on August 12, 1972. She made her journey to see her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on November 23, 2019. LaQuita was a graduate of Washington High School in Kansas City, Kansas and while in high school, she was a two-year member of the Na onal Honor Society. She received a cer cate from AVTS in Kansas City, Kansas, and like her high school years, she was a National Honor Society Student.


After graduation, LaQuita worked at the Providence Medical Center and later with the United States Postal Service. The family relocated to Spiro, Oklahoma in 2005 and after a short while, LaQuita was employed with Baldor (Now ABB) for the thirteen years. LaQuita was a kind-loving person who thought everybody was important. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. LaQuita was blessed by God to share with Patrick Anderson the birth of her only son, Devin Isaiah Anderson.


LaQuita leaves to cherish her loving memories, her parents, Fredrick and Lillie Smith of Spiro, Oklahoma; four brothers, Edward and Stanley Bunch both of Spiro Oklahoma, Tom Keith (Dee) Bunch of Kansas City, Kansas, and Luther Smith of Fort Smith, Arkansas; three sisters, Eula Faye (Charles) Wa s, Kathy (Derrick) Nichols, and Debbie Lynn Smith, and a host of rela ves and friends.


Visitation will be held Saturday, November 30, 2019 from 10:00a.m. to 11:00a.m. at House of Prayer and Praise Missionary Baptist Church, 4023 Massard Road, Fort Smith, Arkansas 72904.


Celebration of life service will be held Saturday, November 30, 2019, 11:00a.m. at House of Prayer and Praise Missionary Baptist Church.


Committal service and final resting place will be held at Spiro Cemetery, Spiro, Oklahoma.
