Willie's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Veasley Funeral Home. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Willie Lee Austin, Sr.

Willie Lee Austin, Sr. was born October 16, 1963 in Little Rock, AR., to the late Oria Austin Sr. and Myrtle Lewis Austin. He is preceded in death by his brothers Lawrence Austin and Phillip Austin, Sr.


As a child, Willie attended church in the Woodson, Arkansas area. He later attended St. Mark Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas with his family. Willie graduated from Wilbur D. Mills High School in Little Rock, with the class of 1982. He enlisted in the United States Army National Guard, where he served 6 years.


As an entrepreneur, Willie owned and started several business endeavors including a carwash, a window tinting service, and a used car lot. His latest accomplishment was starting his own dump truck business, which he proudly named, BOOM’S Trucking, LLC.


Willie had a passion for fast cars and motorcycles. He loved to attend and occasionally participate in street racing events. He was known for his signature sayings, “You aren’t living unless you’re living on the edge”, “What we waiting on”, and “Make me know it”. He was known for his outgoing fun-spirited personality. His presence could always be detected by his witty sense of humor, and his distinctive voice. Willie loved his family and friends. He spent hours of every day sharing his time and words of wisdom to his loved ones.


Willie leaves to cherish his loving memory, devoted wife of 20 years, Kesha Austin; five children, Mareka Austin of Fort Worth, Texas, Whitney Austin of Little Rock, Arkansas, Willie Austin, Jr. of Glendale, Arizona, Bryan Wayne, Sr. of Lemoore, California, Hunter Austin of Little Rock, Arkansas; five siblings, Oria (Melvet) Austin, Jr., Mildred (Fred) Austin, Annie Withers, Billie Jean Austin, Joyce (Ocie) Austin Gwin; sisters-in-law, Cynthia Austin and Claudetta Austin; six grandchildren, Bryson Austin, Dalylah Foster, Ja’Layah Wayne, Bryan Wayne, Jr., Aerial Austin, Wesley Austin, and a host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


Celebration of life services will be held Saturday, November 16, 2019, 11:00a.m. at St. Mark Baptist Church, 5722 W 12th St., Little Rock, Arkansas.


Family and friends visitation will be held Friday, November 15, 2019 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at Abundant Grace Christian Church, 9901 Leah Lane, Mabelvale, Arkansas.
