Bobby Eugene Hughes born in Van Buren, AR on October 26, 1956 to the late Billy Vernon and Sarah Elizabeth Hughes. He departed this life on November 29, 2018.
Bobby, better known as “Jap”, never meet a stranger. When you would see him, he always had a smile and a story he could not leave without telling you about it. He loved being the center of attention (a fun guy) and enjoyed the many times hanging with his family and friends. He was a happy, caring, loving, enthusiastic, delightful, and a witty person who loved to dance. Japs favorite hang-outs, as you may already know, were the field and Jet-Away on Midland Blvd. He will be missed and remembered by many.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Billy and Sarah, one brother, Billy G. Hughes, and one nephew, Charles D. Hughes.
He leaves to cherish his memory three step-daughters, a step-grandson, three brothers; John (Diane) Hughes, James (Kathy) Hughes all of Ft, Smith, AR, and Frederick Hughes of Van Buren, AR; five nieces, Aleschia Butler, LaShay Dumas, Grimonia Hughes, Deborah Irvin, and Diresha Smith all of Ft. Smith, AR; five nephews, Shawn Hughes, Shane Hughes, Shad Hughes, LaMont Knauls, and Michael McGill all of Ft. Smith, AR and a host of many family and friends, who all loved him.
