Richard's earthly temple is now resting in the care of Rowell-Parish Mortuary. Revelations 21:4 says "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death; nor sorrow, nor crying, neither shall their be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away." Be assured that in the days ahead you will surely gain strength from the memories of Mr. Richard "Dick" Kelley.

Richard 'Dick' Hoyt Kelley, 83, of Hot Springs, passed away April 13, 2018. He was born August 14, 1934 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to the late Joseph James Kelley and Phyllis Hoyt Kelley. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Janet Williams Kelley, sons Stephen Hoyt Kelley, Hot Springs, and Joseph James Kelley, Orlando, Florida, grandsons Nathaniel, Brooks and Hudson and granddaughter Sierra. Dick was proceeded in death by parents Joseph and Phyllis and brother Joseph James Kelley, Jr.


Dick was a graduate of Massachusetts Maritime Academy, class of 1956. He retired as a commander from the US Navy after 4 years active and 16 years in the reserve, proudly serving aboard the aircraft carrier the USS Oriskany. Dick joined Texaco in the sales department in 1962, retiring in 1986. He was very active serving in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary during the twenty years before his death.


A celebration of life memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2018, 2:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church of Hot Springs, 213 Whittington Ave, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71901.
