Sherrita Foster

Sherrita “Rita” Foster was born January 11, 1968 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She attended Muldrow Public Schools and was employed by Whirlpool Corporation for 26 years. She attended the New Horizon Church.

She was a loving and devoted mother to her son Bryson. Rita was preceded in death by her parents: Mary K. Cole and Waldo Sanders, Sr.; two brothers, Marvin Jones and Waldo Sanders, Jr.

She departed this life on Sunday, July 3, 2016 in Fort Smith and leaves to cherish her memory her son, Bryson Owens of the home; four sisters: Querida Jones of Moffett, OK, Tammy Sanders and Zona Sanders, and Beverly Ann Jones all of Fort Smith; three brothers: Chauncey Foster of San Antonio, TX, Lester Armington and Andre Sanders both of Fort Smith; four aunts: Doris Castleberry (Theodore) of Yukon, OK, Veronica Sanders, Mildred Sanders, and Clineta Perkins all of Fort Smith; two uncles, Bruce and Michael Sanders of Fort Smith; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral will be Saturday, July 9th, 11:00 a.m. at New Morning Star Baptist Church with burial at Shady Grove Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Lester Armington, Chauncey Foster, James Castleberry, Gabe Sopshire, Jacob Kirksey, and James Barnum, Jr.

The body will be viewed, Friday, July 8th, 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at the funeral home
